This morning we held our annual Christmas Fair and it was absolutely fantastic. There were so many visitors, even our huge car park was full to capacity! We had many stalls selling lovely gifts, cards and decorations that the children had made. There was a café, a cake stall, lots of games, tombolas and raffles. The whole school is decorated, with a huge real Christmas tree in the Atrium, along with a smaller one full of sensory objects for everyone to explore. There was a brass band playing which really added to the special occasion, creating a magical atmosphere. All this and a Santa’s grotto with an igloo, polar bears, penguins a helpful elf and of course, Father Christmas himself. We were visited by parents, grand parents, family friends, siblings, colleagues from social care, former school pupils & colleagues, lots of Newfield babies, link pupils from Witton Park High School & Shadsworth Infants and last but by no means least, The Worshipful the Mayor of Blackburn with Darwen Borough Council! What a fantastic day we’ve had - and we raised a grand total so far of £960. A huge thank you to everyone involved and all our visitors for making this such a wonderful occasion.
