This evening we were delighted to be awarded ‘Special School of the Year’ at the LET awards which took place at a fancy ceremony at Stanley House Hotel and Spa. We were all dressed to impress at the awards evening with schools from all over East Lancashire being represented. Pupils Darren and Mariah really enjoyed themselves and did the school proud. Mariah acquiring a new taste for smoked salmon!!…and Darren largely eating chips and sweets at the buffet. It was a lovely inspirational evening! Geoff and Darren went on stage to receive the award and certificate in the photo which are now on display in school. Everyone was very humbled and complementary. The Governors, Louise and Janet, were busy networking and Geoff says he is very proud to be the Head of Newfield.
