Today students began Arts Week by celebrating the 400 year anniversary of Shakespeare’s death by participating in a range of activities throughout. There were opportunities for pupils see artefacts, imported food and drink and recipes from the Elizabethan/Jacobean period. The pupils also engage in drama in the multi-sensory 4D studio, where they explored the witches of Macbeth and the enchanted forest of Midsummer Night’s Dream. In the afternoon, each Key Stage was given a Shakespeare play to explore and performed a piece to the rest of the school. It was a lovely day with both staff and pupils enjoying and taking part in a prominent part of British history and culture.
