Today some of our students were invited to watch the Armed Forces Day flag raising ceremony at the town hall. Our students represented Newfield School and did exceptionally well, doing the school proud. We met the Mayor and some more important people, the mayor said he would love to visit our school and see what Newfield is all about. We were praised for making an effort to attend an important event. It was a lovely morning and the rain didn’t spoil it. We were very happy to meet the Mayor, Councillor Hussain Akhtar, so we will be sure to invite him and the lady Mayoress into school soon.
