Sponsored Wiggleathon

Today we are holding a ‘Wiggleathon’ to help raise money for the Happy Days Children’s Charity, as we have done now for the past three years. This has now become an annual event - with a variety of songs/structured dances which as previously our children will be able to participate, have a go at and have fun. Again we thought this would be a great way of thanking the charity for the various opportunities they have provided for our school - they fund our M&M productions and have paid for our pantomime visits before Christmas – here is our proposed idea. First off the 2 -11 department came into the Blackburn hall for a dance and wiggle to songs/dances using the 4D system. Then came the turn of 11-19 to do the same. This year we incorporated wheelchair dancing into the event, showcasing some of the dances we have learnt along with students from our link with Stonyhurst College who attend as normal to join in with our dancing every Wednesday afternoon. Sponsorship forms were sent home with each child for them to be sponsored for their ‘wiggle’ so we are hoping to have raised lots of money for this great charity as well as having lots of fun!
