Return from Bendrigg

This afternoon saw the return of our wonderful children and staff from their week long adventure at Bendrigg. They have canoed, climbed, archered, caved, zip-wired, danced, laughed, cried… Everything but slept it seems! The staff were overwhelmed by how brave and fearless the children were, having a go at many brand new activities with absolute gusto. The children amazed all by showing how able, talkative and independent they can be in the right circumstances. They all danced at the disco last night, with senior deputy Vicki joining them to share in the fun for the evening, before heading to bed for the last time. There were apparently lots of tears at the award ceremony this morning, before the group left to return to school and share the millions of photographs taken. Everyone has had a really fantastic time, and as they headed home they looked happy and exhausted - pupils and staff alike! A huge thank you to the staff who supported this venture, organising, risk assessing and giving up their week to make it happen - memories to last a lifetime.
