Science Week - Day 2

Today the pupils in the Post 16 classes had their turn to be involved with the Science week events. They were focusing on how Science could be applied in the world of work. We spent the morning upcycling furniture and having body and massage therapy. We have learnt how different materials can be used to make something old change into something more exciting in our up cycling projects with each pupil making a contribution to a piece of furniture. We also learnt about our different body parts and how we can look after them in the massage and pampering session. In the afternoon we looked at sports science and ways to keep our body healthy. We had a guest visitor called Debbie who ran a Zumba dance session for us. We were all very tired after all the dancing but it was a fun way to keep our bodies healthy! Thanks to Debbie for her excellent dancing and Teacher Tracey for using her D.T. expertise to run the upcycling. Also, thanks to Jenny and Cate for pampering us.
