Welcome to our new Governors

At the governing body meeting last week, a number of new Governors joined, as well as the election of a new Chair of Governors. As you are aware, Paul Lee left our Governing Body before Christmas and Stuart Davey (Elliot’s Dad) has been acting Chair until we were in a position to vote in a new Chair. We are delighted to say that at the meeting last week, Stuart has been nominated and elected as our new Chair…which is excellent - having a Parent Governor in this position. Please join us in welcoming him to the Team. We also welcomed two new Governors: Abdul Mulla, who is the Chief Officer of a local charity, Blackburn with Darwen Healthy Living and a staunch supporter of disability in the community. We feel sure that he will be a valuable asset to the Governing Body and you will no doubt see him around and we will be sending out introductory information soon. And secondly we welcomed Michael Rhodes who was elected Staff Governor Member…so we are looking forward to his contribution to the school as a Governor!
