A Busy Day of Meetings

Today pupils had a busy day, with both School Council and RRSA Steering Group meetings taking place. Pupil voice is very important to us, so it was great to have the groups come together to make plans for the future. In the morning, the school council discussed how to get ideas and opinions from children throuout school. They are planning a suggestions box, drop in lunchtime sessions and some coffee mornings for classes. In the afternoon, the RRSA steering group had a really interesting training session from Donna Thomas-Navat, a researcher employed by LCFT, where they learnt how to carry out research. They will be carrying out a research project looking at what pupils want from school nursing, which will be fed back to commissioners to make sure that our pupils and pupils all over the borough of BwD get what they need and want from nursing provision. It really is exciting stuff, and it was fabulous to hear how sensible and articulate our young people are - they had some amazing ideas. Well done to both groups - and watch this space for more updates.
