Blackburn with Darwen youth services have asked our students at Newfield to take part in the youth MP elections 2014. All the students in the secondary department of the school were given a chance to vote for their chosen representative. All the students involved watched a DVD with the different candidates on and listened to their views about how their can represent the young people of Blackburn and hopefully become a voice for all young people. After the students watched the DVD and then had a discussion in their classes. They were given a choice to vote if they wanted. All the students were given a ballot sheet and an opportunity to vote. The ballot box will be collected at the end of the week and the votes will be counted.
