Christmas Fair

Today we held our annual Christmas Fair - and what a huge success! School looks amazing at this time of year, we had crowds of people waiting to come in and they all had a great time. Children had hand made all sorts of things to sell, christmas wreaths, cakes, pictures, mugs, jewellery, cards, gifts, decorations… the list went on and on… We had the cafe, always very busy with lots of children, parents, former students & staff, social workers, children and staff from our link schools, and well, just about anybody who has ever had something to do with Newfield - it was wonderful to see so many family and friends supporting us. The brass band - Corus Brass - played throughout which really added to the occasion - big thanks to them as well as the hair and beauty girls from Blackburn College who came and gave manicures, hand massages, and generally added some glamour and sparkle! There were raffles, games and competitions to keep everyone amused - including a Rudolf hoopla that no one was very good at! The children and staff were all amazing, working so hard and coping with the crowds of people and all the excitement. No Christmas fair would be complete without a visit from Father Christmas, and he came as promised and thrilled many of the children in the grotto. Thank you to everyone who worked hard to make the fair happen and to all of our extended Newfield family for coming to see us - Merry Christmas Everyone!
