RRSA - UNICEF Ambassadors

Today, pupils from the RRSA Steering group paid a visit to one of our link schools, St Paul’s RC Primary School. Pupils have been planning workshops to take to other schools in order to promote Children’s rights and pass on their knowledge to other children and young people. Our pupils delivered the workshops and were true professionals; some of the activities were based on our ‘Wants’ and ‘Needs’ and pupils had to distinguish between things we want and things we really need. This was followed by activities based on the fight against hunger and finally the other pupils performed role plays assisted by Newfield pupils to demonstrate whether rights were being respected or not! It really was a fun packed morning and both Newfield pupils and St Paul’s Pupils benefitted greatly from the experience. After all our pupils’ hard work, they were treated to lunch at Frankie and Benny’s before heading back to school.
