Opening of Ramadhan - Whole School Lunch

To mark the month of Ramadhan and fasting, the whole school had an Asian themed lunch together in the halls prepared by our head chef Helen and her team. Fraaz began the event with a little prayer. Ismail, as well as performing a Ramadhan nazam (Islamic verse), did an informative presentation to tell everyone why Muslims fast and how they open/finish their fast with a date. There were sensory opportunities to feel, smell and taste the dates that were really soft and naturally rich in taste.

Ismail leaves this year and today he has mastered his target to independently capture an audience and execute a presentation. All the students thoroughly enjoyed it and ate all the samosas, onion bhajis, etc. Finally, Ismail would like to say an early “Ramadhan Mubarak!”.
