Today, Newfield celebrated achieving level 1 of the Rights Respecting Schools Award by holding a beach party, which was the idea of the RRSA steering group pupil members. The whole school enjoyed a beach party lunch, which was followed by games including ‘pass the parcel’, ‘musical statues’ and ‘surprise beach volleyball’. The ice cream van visited, giving everyone a sweet treat and all of this was followed by a beach party disco. There were sensory sand and water activities on offer and everyone had a great time. The weather may have been cold and damp but our spirits were high as we celebrated again the thrill of being ambassadors for UNICEF. Thanks to everyone for all of their hard work - here comes the summer guys…
