Smithills Farm Class Day Out

TG5 had a fantastic time at Smithills Farm for their class trip. We gave milk to lambs using milk bottles, handled chicks, guinea pigs, rabbits, and owls. There was a Burmese Python which was a 12 foot long snake and some thought it felt like a handbag! We fed goats some food from our hands and it felt really ticklish at first. This was followed with a tractor and trailer ride which we all really enjoyed and it reminisced some of us of the roller coaster at Blackpool. It was that fun! A stop was made to feed the donkeys with bread and Timmy was so excited that he threw his whole slice out. A final visit was made to see some milking action from the cows. With a moo here and a moo there, we experienced lots of other animals including more snakes and alpacas before we had to leave the wonderful farm behind with all its great ‘sensory’ smells.
