RRSA - Read the full report!

We are delighted to bring you the full report from our recent, very successful Rights Respecting School Award - RRSA - level 1 accreditation visit. You can read the report, from UNICEF representative Mrs. Pat Peaker, on our Awards page of the website. The assessor felt that _’It was particularly notable that the pupils who present with a range of learning difficulties and disabilities are being empowered though their education to take an active part in their school. At the core of Newfield School is the right of all learners to an outstanding education and supported access to the articles of the United Nations Convention on the rights of the Child (UNCRC). The school’s slogan, ‘Together we Achieve’, reflects the values and principles of the Convention’. Mrs. Peaker also comments in the report that ‘There is quite evidently a high expectation from the whole staff of what these children and young people are capable of achieving and contributing if they are provided with appropriate opportunities. Perhaps the last word should be that of a parent who said, ‘It’s an amazing school’. We are all absolutely thrilled with such a positive report and are now planning how to celebrate being UNICEF Ambassadors in style!
