Environmental Health Visit

- In Category: Staff & CPD

Helen, our cook, and her team had an unannounced visit today from the Environmental Health Agency! They inspected the kitchen for food hygiene standards and were awarded the top rating of 5 stars for the second time (luckily they hadn’t seen Helen earlier as she had nearly added one of her own fingers to the finger buffet!!!).
They look at how hygienically the food is handled (how it is prepared, cooked, re-heated, cooled and stored), the condition of the structure of the buildings (the cleanliness, layout, lighting, ventilation and other facilities) and how the school manages and records what it does to make sure food is safe. The top rating of 5 means that the school was found to have very good hygiene standards and Helen and her team have achieved this again!!! Well done!
