World Book Day 2013

Marvin the Magician visited Newfield on World Book Day and surprised and delighted both students and staff with his fantastic tricks and funny jokes. He made a blank book appear to draw pictures using Magic Dust. He made a balloon into a cat and magically made lollipops appear in an empty box. As well as the Visit from the Magician some groups were treated to a story- teller session with Louise Brown from the Library Service, which included multi- sensory stories about cats and princesses. Other groups listened to the story of The Gingerbread Man in the studio and in the afternoon three groups listened to stories about Dinosaurs, Owls and Caterpillars in the Pods. It was a busy, eventful and most enjoyable World Book Day. Thanks to Sheila and Hayley, English Coordinators, for organising such a great day!
