This morning, the fire service came to school to meet children and brought one of their engines with them. It was very exciting, and the children were enjoying using the equipment…until they were called away on a real emergency. There were a few sad faces at that point, but our friendly fire ladies and men kindly came back to school once they had dealt with their call out. The fire brigade spoke about how to keep away from fire and avoid getting into dangerous situations. The children used the hose to spray water everywhere, tried on helmets and really liked the sirens and lights of the fire engine.
