RE Week grand finale Exhibition

On the final day of R.E. week we held an exhibition of all the art work the pupils had created during the week, which was attended by all of the pupils and some parents, who were also able to enjoy refreshments at a cafe run by our oldest pupils. The theme for the Christianity display was Jesus being the light of the world. Pupils had made candles from beeswax sheets and also created other candle crafts and art work. We also had a pod set up with Christian images, books and lots of candles and lights. The Hindu display was very colourful with lots of bright fabrics and art work. Pupils had made lots of rangoli patterns, using pulses, glitter and other collage materials and they looked brilliant! For me, the most impressive exhibits were the mosques classes had made out of junk materials - they were amazing!! We also had a pod set up about Muslim prayer with pictures of the different prayer positions modelled by some of the pupils from R6. All the pupils enjoyed looking round the exhibition and it was great to see some parents here too. It’s been a lot of fun this week and a great way for the pupils to find out more about different religions.
