Today Newfield joined in with ‘jeans for genes day’ by dressing in jeans or casual clothes and selling & buying toast, tea cakes and cakes. Former pupils returned for the morning to help with the cafe and carry round the specially decorated infamous bucket… We like raising money for ‘jeans for genes day’ because lots of the children who come to Newfield have genetic disorders, so we hope that we are helping scientists to find cures and solutions in the future for some of the conditions that affect us today. We also just love dressing in our own clothes, eating cakes and having fun! We raised just over £130 - thanks very much to all who contributed.
