Tim Potter
Co-opted GovernorAbout Tim Potter.
I am a Senior Architectural Technologist and Building Information Modelling (BIM) Manager with over twenty years’ experience working in the built environment in a number of roles across varying sectors, predominantly in education.
I was the Architectural project lead on the Newfield building and worked closely with the school between 2015 and 2018 to compose the concept designs and lead the project from inception through to the construction phase on site.
During my time on the project, I undertook specific research in the field of specialist building design principles for children with Autism, visiting a number of existing facilities across the county, with the aim of providing an exemplar facility for Newfield School.
More recently I have been involved in the proposed extension to Newfield, working closely with the school during the initial design stages to assist with the development of brief, concept design and technical detailing of the building. With my involvement in the project I have come full circle as I was involved in the original Newfield building at the start of my career.
I am proud to be a Governor at Newfield and have seen how the school has developed since inception, I have a keen interest in supporting the development of Newfield School in the future.
